A 401(k) plan allows you to contribute a portion of your paycheck into a retirement savings account. You choose from investment options within the Voya Financial retirement portfolio that allow you to plan for your individual retirement goals.
While contributions can be made on a pre-tax and post-tax (Roth) basis, most participants elect the pre-tax option, thus lowering their taxable income!
All employees 21 years or older are eligible to participate after 30 days of employment.
Besides helping you save for your future, there are several benefits offered by participating in a 401(k): Tax planning, Tax-deferred growth, IRS Savers Tax Credit (income limitations apply), and funds are portable (if your employment changes, your funds can go with you).
Up to the federal maximum deferral limit, you can elect up to 94% of your gross wages to a 401(k) plan. You can update this preference anytime.
